The I Know Jack Foundation

Non-Profit Organization

Non-Profit Organzation

Our Background

 We're a non-profit organization that was inspired by our son, Jack Hoeger. Jack was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer at the age of 5. Jack fought hard throughout treatment and has been in remission every since. We created the I Know Jack foundation to help us tell Jack's story and create fundraising and lobbying opportunities to support cancer funding. This allows us to turn our family's experience from a negative to a positive by helping others who are fighting cancer.

Our Mission

To raise funds to support cancer patients and their families from diagnosis through survivorship. Our goal is to raise awareness about cancer, support those affected by cancer, assist with cancer research, and improve the survivor’s quality of life. We understand that cancer affects the entire family and that it takes a community to beat cancer.

Where do the funds go?

The support and donations we receive from the Friends of I Know Jack have allowed us to:

  • Deliver more than 2,500 backpacks to patients in treatment;
  • Provide annual grants to 10-20 families that are living below the poverty line and need financial support during treatment;
  • Provide support to Camp Heart Connection, which provides a camp for children who are dealing with cancer or have successfully beaten it.
